Scott Hallock is a professional musician, guitarist/singer/songwriter, and entertainer. Music has been a lifelong dedication for Scott, beginning with choral experience in his high school Concert Choir, Show Choir, A Cappella choir, Regional and All-state choirs in New Jersey. He also played in and was the band leader of several rock bands. He continued his study of music and communications at Curry College in Boston, where he received a B.A. degree.

Scott has been performing for over 30 years solo, duo and with bands. For the past 7 years, he has been performing with vocalist, guitarist, and percussionist, Suzie Kiraly. They play over 600 songs in the genres of classic rock, acoustic folk, bluegrass, country, tropical rock, reggae, and alternative rock, from the 50's to the present, as well as Scott’s original music. They have performed over 900 shows together.

In addition to playing restaurants, country clubs, corporate and private parties, Scott and Suzie have performed at library shows, weddings outdoor concerts, and benefits throughout the Phoenix area. In 2014, they were the featured entertainers at the first Scottsdale Italian Festival, and also played in a benefit concert at the Musical Instrument Museum in Scottsdale.

Scott plays a variety of instruments, including acoustic/electric, 6 and 12 string guitars, bass, mandolin, ukulele, harmonica and percussion, using a variety of styles and techniques.

Scott’s original CD releases include “More Than I Can Carry”, and “Scott Hallock Stories.” His current CD, “Alone in My Room”, features guest artists and session players Pete Huttlinger, Ken Coomer, John Batdorf, Peter Adams and Dave Anthony, bringing talented musicians together from Nashville, L.A, New Jersey and Arizona.

Scott has performed at a variety of venues and events in New Jersey and Arizona. In 2003, he played at the NJ Black Potatoe Festival headlined by the late Levon Helm. That same year he played at the opening of the Linda McCartney’s 60’s Photograph Exhibition in Phoenix, with Laurence Juber of the Wings band. In 2014, Scott had the honor of playing in a duo with Leonard Shaw, of the Guess Who. Also, in 2014, he played again in the 18th NJ Black Potatoe Festival. In Arizona, he has played in the Tucson, Encanto, Glendale, Prescott and Flagstaff festivals.

In Arizona, Scott plays on the House Concert Circuit where he has opened for John Batdorf, KC Turner, Severin Browne, Dan Navarro, and Bert Lams of the California Guitar Trio. He has also opened for Kenny Loggins at the Phoenician resort and Dave Nachmanoff at the Higley Arts Center.

Since 2000, Scott has participated every year in the NAMM Show in Anaheim, California, and has played at several booths of music product companies where he has artist endorsements, including Martin, Breedlove, D’Addario (Planet Waves), LR Baggs and Tech 21.

Scott has been a music teacher for the past 25 years, teaching guitar and ukulele to students from ages 7 to 85. Recently he has been teaching and directing a Rock and Roll Teen Band Camp at the Fountain Hills Library.

For the past 15 years, Scott has been the owner/studio operator of Barrel Cactus Studio in Fountain Hills, Arizona, where he has recorded and produced CDs for local and national artists. His studio has an extensive collection of musical instruments including acoustic and electric guitars, ukuleles, mandolins, drums, percussion, piano, organ, and Moog Taurus pedals, as well as several vintage instruments, vintage microphones, and pre-amps. Offering all this with a current ProTools operations system makes Barrel Cactus Studio a unique and inspirational environment in which to record.
